Episode #504 It’s that time of year! Time to countdown the top 10 Flipping50 Podcasts for Menopause Health & Fitness in 2021! It’s all based on your votes by downloads.

In case you didn’t know, Flipping50 has been around now since at least 2014. To be honest some of the early years are sketchy! I had no idea what I was doing, I just knew it needed to be done. So This podcast started somewhere before that and so.. although there are already more than 527 episodes, I didn’t start numbering early on so I’m actually only at episode 504. How’s that for a hot menopause mystery?

 

All things considered, not a big deal. It does show I didn’t have a good vision. I couldn’t have imagined that we’d be approaching 2 million downloads or supporting a community of over 250,000 women in menopause. Many of you came from my YouTube channel, or Facebook or saw Flipping50TV episodes. Some of you “met” me from my TEDx talk.

 

Wherever we met, I’m grateful – for you and for the stories you share, the questions you ask, that all help someone else. It takes a village and each individual in it.

 

So, let’s do this… as any respectable Iowa girl would do it, Letterman style.

Glad because this rumor and strategy is potentially limiting progress, keeping you exhausted, and ignoring science. Alarmed because it tells me that a lot of fitness professionals – or at least fitness marketers – are suggesting you work out as a body builder or figure competitor in midlife which has a strong potential to wreak havoc with your hormones.

 

Bottom line, is it is always about evidence of monitoring your body fat and muscle, your sleep, stress, belly fat, and energy levels just to name a few, that should determine if it’s working for you.
