Detox bath to reduce inflammation:

  • 1 cup Epsom salt
  • ¼ cup ACV
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 6-8 drops lavender
  • 1-2 drops of lemon

Soak 30-40 min. in hottest water you can stand. 6-8 drops to 1 ounce carrier oil.

Used on roots of hair immediately out of shower daily.

For years, decades, if you’re over 50, you’ve been conditioned to think fat makes you fat. Science shows clearly that the shift 25-30 years ago to non-fat and low-fat products actually was the beginning of the increasing obesity epidemic. Your hormones then too were calling the shots. Constant eating and empty carbohydrates cause insulin surges that lead to fat storage and a vicious cycle of more cravings.

To stop cravings, increase your protein and your micronutrient sufficiency. (more on that below) If you haven’t seen JJ’s Miracle Mindset documentary, you need to, it’s about much more than sugar.)

Did you grow up taking a multivitamin? Then suddenly you heard all the news about how you were just flushing that down the toilet and you didn’t really need it? 

So for years, you may not have been taking anything. And at the same time, the soil where our food is grown is depleted. The chemicals used to make the foods we’re eating are increased. The flavor of those huge veggies and fruits at the store is non-existent (suggesting there are few nutrients in them: flavor comes from micronutrients). Be clear that my stance on a midlife, already-stressed woman fasting with no food or with high-sugar juices..will backfire. But strategically fasting (including high quality nutrient-dense items) can be effective depending on the individual.
