Real Good Ranch Dip, Dressing, or Spread
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cashews soaked 2 hours, rinsed
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup avocado oil
- 3 T lemon juice
- 2 T apple cider vinegar
- 2 T spicy brown mustard
- Few drops stevia
- 1 tsp Colima salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 2-3 T dried dill (or fresh) and I sub or add parsley too
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
Blend. Add more water if you want to thin it out. So good with raw or slightly cooked veggies, over salad greens, or spread on a wrap (I use brown rice tortillas).
Ranch dressing is a favorite of mine… and who doesn’t love it? But dairy is a food sensitivity for many and causes inflammation for all. So few of us are going to feel our best or be at our best weight and fat levels eating it.
So what to pair with those wings and veggies at your holiday BBQs, or Super Bowl party? This cashew-based dressing is amazing and you can flavor it to your taste.
Make it your Ranch Dressing:
Try these variations to make it yours.
- Extra Dill
- Roasted garlic
- Fresh herbs not dried
- Minimize the water and make it a dip or increase the water and use it for dressing
Definitely make ahead and allow it to chill to achieve the richer flavors you will love.
Other great ways to use ranch dressing:Â
- spread for wraps
- topping for taco salad
- condiment for burgers
