When and Why
About 90 minutes post-workout your muscles are primed for a high protein meal. Resistance training AND high protein both boost muscle protein synthesis, something that falls as you age. That means you’ve got to be more conscious of your protein intake, resistance training, and the timing of the two of them together. Simply timing them optimally can boost your results.
At Flipping 50, vanilla Plant and Paleo (inspired) Power proteins are the favorite! Using cacao powder (for added antioxidants) makes versatile vanilla a chocolate-lover’s option, while letting you easily make your next muscle-loving, lean-inspiring, craving-killing smoothie a green smoothie or something with tropical flavor.
Got Fiber?
P.S. Don’t forget the Fiber Boost. Want to increase your satiety? Decrease cravings further and eliminate excess toxins and estrogen? Fiber is your friend. It should come from multiple sources just like a plate of food would – and that’s what I’ve created with Flipping 50’s Fiber Boost. It’s an easy way to add 4-5 grams per shake and get a significant boost for regularity and blood sugar stabilization. Bye bye energy swings.
